Joe joined Cold Forge in 2020 after 6 years at JSteel and almost 20 years at ThyssenKrupp. Joe has both local and international experience and has developed an exceptional understanding of the dynamics of the rail market in Australia. Joe is responsible for developing long term business relationships, detailed commercial strategies and securing, negotiating and managing commercial contracts.
Steve joined the team in 2022 from Saint Gobain Abrasives. Steve brings a wealth of experience in both abrasives and fasteners. Steve started his career at Blackwoods and has worked for Ramset and Macsim prior to Saint Gobain. Steve is responsible for looking after our customers in the field and helping them with understanding our end to end product offering including track materials and track tools.
Andrew joined Cold Forge in 2004. Andrew has spent the majority of his career in entrepreneurial start-ups and has experience in a broad range of fields having spent a number of years in corporate advisory. Andrew leads major bids and works closely with Tomos, Joe and Steve to service the business' major customers. Andrew is the major shareholder in the business. Andrew has an MBA from the AGSM, UNSW and a background in Electrical Engineering. Andrew is currently studying a Masters in Creative Intelligence and Strategic Innovation at UTS.
Tomos joined Cold Forge in 2021 for a 1 semester design project in conjunction with the University of Technology, Sydney. Tomos continued working part time whilst completing his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering. Tomos graduated with Honours in 2022 and became a full-time member of the team. Tomos has worked previously in rail with UGL and Sydney Metro. Tomos completed the Fundamentals for Railway Professional course in 2022 with Monash IRT and in 2023 is undertaking the RISSB Horizons program, a five-month intensive professional development program for young rail professionals.
Bruce joined Cold Forge in 2008 after 15 years with Schindler. Bruce is a Certified Practising Accountant. Bruce is responsible for the finance functions in the business and keeping both our customers and suppliers happy.
Phill joined Cold Forge in 2002 and previously spent over 10 years with AJAX Fasteners. Phil has been in the fastener industry since 1972. Phill was Cold Forge’s factory foreman before the business exited manufacturing in 2011. Phill is responsible for the management of the warehouse including shipping and receiving functions, freight handling and oversight of the specialist machine jobbing shop.
Clayton joined Cold Forge in 1980. Clayton is the third generation of industrial component manufacturers in his family, with his grandfather having started the business in the 1930’s. Clayton no longer works full time but does consult to the business providing his decades of experience in zero-defect manufacturing. Clayton is a qualified Fitter & Turner (Machinist) by trade.
